  • Focus on proteins when composing your diet

A study was conducted on this matter and noticed that if people with these genes had a diet low on calories, which features proteins in a proportion of 25%, then they felt fuller for a longer period and had fewer food cravings than in comparison with other types of diets.

Why are proteins so important? First of all, you need proteins if you are working out because they help build muscular mass, for that lean body you plan on having. Also, proteins are the ones that help you recover faster after a workout session. But, most importantly, proteins will not just make you feel fuller faster, but will also take more time and energy to get digested, which explains why you won’t feel the need to eat anytime soon.

  • Don’t skip breakfast

According to NLM, obese people usually skip breakfast, have their lunch late, and their dinner even later. As you can see, this is not a healthy meal plan because the body has a well-established internal clock that should be respected. So, if you want to lose weight efficiently, have your breakfast in the morning and have your lunch earlier than usual, meaning that you should definitely not have your lunch in the afternoon.

  • Increase your physical activities

People that have the fat genes can stay safe from the risks of gaining too much weight by making sure that they have plenty of physical effort throughout the day. This is even more important if you want to lose weight. Walk in a brisk manner, bike, run, do anything you can to make your body work, so that those genes are suppressed properly.

  • Opt for the Mediterranean diet

There is a particular fat gene that won’t just increase the risks of obesity, but also of type II diabetes. Luckily, researchers found out that the Mediterranean diet can prevent these things from happening. Besides being very delicious, this particular diet is very healthy as well, containing fish, olive oil, poultry, fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
