It is recommended that toners should be applied on only oily areas such as forehead, nose, and chin. Instead of reaching toners every day, use it once or twice per week at most. To avoid oily shine, choose a light, oil-free moisturizer. Vary the amount you apply depending on whether the area tends to be dry or oily.

Instead, just press it against the fatty area for long enough to absorb oil, from fifteen to twenty seconds. Some blotting papers are slightly powered, which more than reduces shine. This treatment should be paired with a cleansing regime for the best result.
