5 Anti Aging Foods That Make You Look Younger

Want to stay young forever? Want to know the secret foods to slow down the process? Tired of being promised from so many creams that will erase the lines of our life failing? Well research has shown that with the right anti-aging foods and an exercise regimen we as women can battle the progression of ageing.

If we take the time to really understand what we put into our bodies and how it affects us in the long run we might want to implement them now and slow down the aging process. There’s not much you can do to stop the march of time; but you can protect your health and age more gracefully, with the following five foods:

  • Yogurt: Plain, low-fat or nonfat yogurt is a terrific source of B vitamins, protein and calcium. If it has the healthy bacteria known as probiotics, which help get rid of disease-causing germs, it is an added benefit. Enjoy four or more cups a week if this is your main dairy source.
  • Leafy Greens: The darker they are the better for you. It’s almost impossible to meet your nutritional needs without eating dark leafy greens, such as lettuce, romaine lettuce, spinach, collard greens, kale, and chard. These leafy greens are huge sources of fiber, vitamins C and K, folic acid (a B vitamin that guards your heart and memory), lutein (a vision protector), and four essential minerals: calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium. Leafy greens also deliver a huge supply of anti-aging vitamin A, which supports skin-cell turnover to help keep your skin soft and supple.
  • Whole Grains: A 2008 review of these diet-friendly foods;  whole wheat, oats, brown rice, bread, cereal, and other items made from them — concluded that a meal plan loaded with whole grains helps you stay slim, due to fiber’s role in appetite control. They also rank low on the glycemic index which might play a significant role. Research has also shown that whole grains offer protection against diabetes, heart disease, stroke, colon cancer, high blood pressure, and gum disease. These benefits are from the array of vitamins, minerals, plant chemicals, and again, fiber that work together to slow the aging process and damage toxins have on the body. Fiber-Rich Whole grains have up to 96% more fiber, magnesium, zinc, chromium, and vitamins E and B6 than refined grains. Whole grains are a nutritional power, helping to prevent the same health problems that refined grains help cause: heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and even obesity. Ideally, all six of your daily recommended grain servings should be whole grains.

  • Red Wine and Other Drinks: Drinking tea may lower your risk of heart attacks, strengthen your immune system, protect tooth enamel, and help fight memory loss associated with aging. Choose green, black, white, or oolong — their leaves all come from the camellia or tea plant. And their polyphenols (antioxidants), fluoride, and caffeine — which are thought to contribute to these health benefits. While drinking red wine, the ruby beverage’s resveratrol is a potent antioxidant, inflammation damper, and artery protector.  Animal research suggests that high amounts of resveratrol may counteract cell death in the heart and brain, which could mean thecompound, has even greater potential to prolong your life. Limit yourself to one five-ounce glass a day; any more than that could be harmful. If you’re not a wine drinker, coffee appears to lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, and evidence suggests that coffee drinkers have a lower chance of dying from heart disease. Some of the health benefit may come from the caffeine, but coffee also contains chlorogenic acids.
  • Salmon: Salmon offers 100 percent of your daily recommended daily value of vitamin D, which is known for its anti-inflammatory hits to the body. When adequate stores of vitamin D help maintain bone strength and may help with osteoporosis in older adults. This is another source you can use to get you protein since lean muscle mass naturally declines as we get older. You can also add a natural supplement of HCG drops to your diet to get results fast. These drops comes under one of the most effective weight loss programs that thousands over the world have tried and seen results for over 30 years.

We are what we eat.  The energy that comes from wholesome, nutrient-dense foods has a much longer payoff. It’s true that no single food will erase laugh lines or really make you feel 18 again, but a healthy diet full of anti-aging foods can boost skin quality, improve immunity, and more.
