Reasons You’re Finding it Hard to Get Pregnant

If you’ve been trying to conceive for a while with no luck, could it be that one of these common hindrances to fertility are stopping you from getting pregnant?

Stress

Being stressed out will really take a toll on your physical and mental health, and could prevent you from conceiving because your adrenal system will not be working at its optimum and your body will not be ready for the challenge.

So, if you’ve been feeling under stress, instead of adding to the problem by worrying about your lack of progress in the pregnancy department, start making more time for relaxing activities like spa visits, messages and romantic evenings in with your spouse. As the stress melts away, your chances of conceiving will begin to increase.

Poor Sleep

Getting an adequate amount of sleep each night will ensure that your body has time to de-stress and repair itself after the stresses and strains of the day. If you have trouble sleeping on a regular basis, your immune system will start to get run down, and you’ll be more prone to infections, which could have a knock-on effect on your cycle and prevent you from getting pregnant.

Sol if you’re having trouble sleeping, try out a few natural remedies, like chamomile tea and hops, and if they don’t help you catch your quota of ZZZ’s, perhaps visit your doctor to see what can be done to help you sleep more soundly.

Weight Problems

If you are either overweight or underweight, you might find it more difficult to make a baby because undernourished bodies often do not ovulate correctly or have a healthy cycle and being overweight puts an unhealthy strain on the body which makes it sub-optimum for conceiving.

If you struggle with your weight, it is then a good idea to start making healthy changes to your diet, and where necessary seeing a doctor, psychiatrist or dietician to help you overcome your issues and start nourishing your body the right way.

Not Being Intimate with Your Cycle

If you’re trying to get pregnant, then you really do need to understand your menstrual cycle, so you can focus your efforts on the times when you’re most fertile. Sadly, too many women really don’t have much of a clue about their menstrual cycle and the best times to get pregnant.

If you don’t pay much attention to your cycle, and you don’t know when you’re ovulating, using a fertility app to keep track of things for you should help you to concentrate your efforts on the times when pregnancy is likely to occur, so that you aren’t overdoing things and you’re a lot more likely to conceive, as a result.

A Negative Mindset

If you don’t get pregnant after a few months of trying, it’s easy to get into a negative mindset about the whole thing, but this is never a good idea, not only because it will make you feel more stressed out and down about the whole things, but because biofeedback is very real thing and the more you think negative thoughts about your efforts to get pregnant, the more it will affect your body and make it difficult for you to conceive.

Fertility Issues

If none of the above apply to you, or you make changes so that they’re no longer a problem, and you find that you are still unable to conceive, it could be that you or your spouse have some more serious fertility issues, and you may need to look into fertility treatments. If you can, it’s always a good idea to give yourself six months to a year before you start trying for a baby to make any lifestyle changes that will help you, get to know your cycle and prepare yourself mentally for the experience. If this isn’t possible, don’t panic when things don’t happen as quickly as you like, and begin to implement healthy changes as you try to conceive to help speed things up.
