Reasons to Invest in Water Filtration Systems

Whether your concerns are about health, money or cleanliness, having clean water is important. Although there are a lot of commercial water treatment systems available on the market, not all of them are beneficial—for your health, the environment or even your wallet! Here are some issues to address about your water source so that you can evaluate whether your commercial water treatment method is working to your benefit.

1) Clean Water for Your Family’s Health and the Environment

We all know that having clean, drinkable water is a necessity, but we don’t all know what is in the water that comes out of our taps. Water is necessary to sustain the human body (and that of our beloved pets) for more reasons than just hydration alone. Water also contains beneficial minerals, such as calcium and magnesium. When you buy commercial water softener systems, you may not be aware that the water can be stripped of these beneficial nutrients.

Also, softeners can add unbeneficial ingredients to the water, such as salt or chemicals. These leak back into the water table underground and can contaminate plants and animals. Softeners don’t always strip water of chlorine, either, which isn’t good for your body. Pets in particular are very sensitive to the effects of chlorine, and they can become sick or develop dull coats as a result of continued consumption. It’s beneficial to invest in a water filtration system that uses natural methods to remove impurities like chlorine, without adding brackish water back into the environment.

2) Pure Water for Cleanliness and Non-Drinking Use

Water softeners/filters that fail to remove chlorine can also do a number on your face, hair and personal property when it comes to cleaning. Anyone with dyed hair knows to stay away from chlorine or to rinse hair immediately upon exiting a swimming pool. However, if you only have a filter on your kitchen sink for tap water, you are still bathing in water that could contain a lot of chlorine. The same goes for washing dishes, watering your flowers and washing your car—chlorine and chemicals can leave streaks and residue that looks less than squeaky-clean. Whole house water filtration systems are installed right at the source of entry for water, so all the water that flows through your home will be stripped of chemicals and other yucky stuff.

3) Saving Money with Whole House Treatment

Whole house water filtration systems can save you quite a bit of money in the long run, too. It’s not really practical to install sink filters on every tap in your house, because that would be costly. Also, these filters need to be changed between 2-4 times annually, which adds up over time. Whole house filtration systems last nearly two decades and provide inexpensive, clean water.
