10 Beat-the-Heat Summer Smoothie Recipes

Summer can be fun for those who are planning to spend in a hill station or beach areas but they are draining for most of us who obligated to work under the reeling temperature. They can be stressful and exhausting.

Let’s bring that childhood back but with a twist. A cup of mangoes with two spoons of honey, ice cubes, chopped coconut and a teaspoon of vanilla ice cream makes it for the best mango smoothie. The recipe is prepared in the blender. You can also garnish the smoothie with mango slices.

Grape smoothie: Grape serves an as antioxidant agent that helps in slowing down the aging process. It also provides Vitamin C to the body. Grapes have also proven to be beneficial in reducing the cellular damage. Having high content of water, it becomes one of the best smoothie options for summers.

A cup of milk, some ice cubes, vanilla ice-cream, a cup of grapes. Blend it till it gets all smooth.

Watermelon Frosty: This fruit consists of 80 percent of water. So try it this recipe to remain dehydrated throughout the summer. It contains Vitamin C, Vitamin A, potassium, magnesium, Vitamin B1, B5, and B6.

For preparing watermelon frosty, you will need one and a half cup of frosted watermelon cubes, half cup of coconut water, one lemon, a banana for increasing the concentration of the blend.  Add it in all these in the blender and serve it with watermelon slice or lemon.

Blackberry Smoothie:  Blackberries has immense health benefits. Also known as ‘Cancer Fighting Food’, it helps in preventing cancer and also improves brain function.

For making a fresh basic blackberry smoothie, you will require a cup of milk, 3 cup blackberries, a ripe banana, 2 teaspoons of honey, ice cubes. Make use of the blender to make the delicious and healthy smoothie.

Peach smoothie: Peach is the store of various kinds of minerals like calcium, zinc, iron and potassium. They are also a rich source of fiber so if you are on diet, peach is the best fruit option to choose. This fruit also helps in keeping the skin healthy.

For preparing a basic peach smoothie, you will need 2 cups of milk, 4 ice cubes, frozen slices of peaches, sugar (2 tablespoons). Make it in the blender till it gets all smooth. (Tip: You can also add some slices of orange fruit for enhancing the taste).

For preparing the smoothie, take a half cup of avocado fruit, half cup of milk, two teaspoons of honey, some ice cubes with the half cup of vanilla flavored yogurt.

Banana- Chocolate Smoothie: The high fiber content of banana keeps you full for a long time. Having banana in the morning is always a good option as you don’t have to worry as to when you will be getting your next meal. Along with being a rich source of vitamins and minerals, it is easily digestible.

Meanwhile, chocolate is favorite among all age group. So let’s go for a combo of taste and health. You will need frozen bananas, 2 cups of milk, chocolate syrup and ice cubes. Blend it till it gets all smooth.

Kiwi smoothie: Kiwi is a rich source of vitamin C. It also helps to digest food. This fruit comes with the antioxidant compound that boosts immunity and clears body’s toxins.

Kiwi Smoothies are usually made along with the combination of others fruits. Like the strawberry, apple, pear, cucumber.
